CHARACTER: CANON SECTION
NAME: Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne
AGE: 17
CANON: DC Comics

CANON HISTORY: Sinnamon Roll Ver.
CANON PERSONALITY:
Figure 1. Timothy Drake

The Intellect. Tim is a representation of one piece of Bruce's entirety; the brains, the puzzle solver, the digital mechanic, the strategist. What he lacks in brawn, Tim makes up for in vast amounts of prodigal genius; it takes one to figure out the identity of Batman anyway.

(Tim is the guy who probably looked at Bruce Wayne and said "Shit, that guy has enough money to be Batman!")

Persistent to the point of being absolutely foolhardy, there's nothing more blowing to Tim's integrity than giving up on a problem or being bested mentally. He loves the thrill of a mental chase or a difficult problem, and he finds satisfaction in getting the better of both criminals and friends through means of gadgets and logic. Unfortunately, this also makes him kind of a sore loser. Being ridiculed, shown-up, or otherwise having his existence invalidity will turn Tim into a bitter and petty piece of shit.

Tim's fighting style follows a similar method: distance, planning and strategy, exploiting weaknesses and opportunity to give himself the upper hand, using his more powerful friends as distractions.

Tim has frequently utilized the Titans like chess pieces, moving them where he needs them to be while he puppet masters the playing board from above. He's not against taking risks even at the sake of his friends' well being. However, it's important to note, this is due to over-confident not because he is indifferent to their suffering and deaths. Tim is certain he can win, thus making the scare of their demise a small price to pay in the end.

Additionally, Tim isn't opposed to lying (a terrible Wayne trait) in an attempt to keep others safe; unfortunately, this almost always ends in the same people being hurt from not knowing vital information. Tim, like Bruce, believes the less others know, the more safe they are.

This isn't to say Tim is completely an apathetic douchenozzle. He struggles with being open with his true feelings, but he, in all seriousness, feels just as much as anyone else. (Even more if friends stick around with him long enough to put up with his bullshit.) He's not opposed to saying sorry when he feels it's deserved, and he begrudgingly will admit wrong-doing and foolishness when pressed. It just takes some time. He needs to back off, run away, hole up. He needs to mull and ponder, and then return again to the problem to face it anew.

Despite being a ferocious go-getter, in the New 52, Tim actually foregoes becoming Robin officially because he feels it would be disrespectful toward the dead former Robin, Jason; instead, Tim takes the moniker Red Robin, assisting Batman and, later, Batman Inc. from the sidelines instead of directly. There's a bit of understanding and empathy somewhere under the hardened shell of perfectionist Timothy Drake. Thank God.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
● Genius Intellect: the ability to reason logically and theoretically, analyze, and generally understand advanced philosophical and cognitive information.
● Polyglot: probably knows too many languages honestly, but we'll just say he's fluent in English (native) and Chinese; intermediate with Spanish; knows a few key phrases from other languages.
● Martial Arts: a proficiency in various styles of self defense and a specialization with the bo staff.
● Tech Junkie: advanced level of understanding and manipulation of digital data.
● Engineering: intermediate to advanced level of understanding of inventive design as it relates to technology; i.e. robotics.
● Mr Holmes: basic knowledge of forensics, profiling, and crime scene data collection.
● Rubik's Cube: an affinity for being able to solve physical and logical puzzles or riddles.

CHARACTER: AU SECTION
AU NAME: Tim Drake
AU AGE: 17
PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES: None.

AU HISTORY:
Surprise! Tim grew up in a completely normal and well-adjusted family. The only child to a corporate businessman and a homemaker mother, Tim was encouraged at all opportunities to do better for himself. There were no major hiccups, no deaths, no maiming, nothing that even remotely would cause superhero or villainous tendencies. Amazing.

Education was important to the Drake family, as his parents thought it would be the best pathway to a bright and wealthy future.

Of course, Tim soaked up information like a sponge. In middle school, he skipped fourth grade and went straight into fifth. By high school, he was taking advanced classes, and by senior year, he was getting additional basic college credits from the local college to jump start his high education. He graduated just after his seventeenth birthday, valedictorian of his (not even official necessarily) class with honors and a free-ride scholarship. Placement testing for higher education put him directly into sophomore year where he is now a student at the university. (Why is Tim Drake so extra?) The major Tim decided to pursue is computer engineering, one of his best talents.

Ironically enough, Tim wasn't the typical pushed around nerd. Even with brains, he still enjoyed being athletic and excelled (naturally) at the martial arts he took throughout his youth.

The typical Batman of Gotham is missing here, but the hunt for solving the riddle of all riddles has now been replaced instead by the city of Recolle. Through high school, Tim increasingly began finding the weird happenings of Recolle, well, weird. Rather than seek out the identity of a man in a cape, he now looks for clues that will lead him to the answers of why, sometimes, the city appears to be acting so strange.

In which Tim Drake again tries to stick his nose where he doesn't belong.

To speed up this process, in his spare time, Tim has become a notorious hacker using the moniker Redbird. The thrill of a challenge makes him take increasingly risky opportunities to break through high digital security to access files and personal data, especially those relating to the city of Recolle or the people pulling the strings. All of this is done via proxies from the university campus, allowing him to disperse any pingback over the network, lost in the sea of others and a non-telling IP address.

AU PERSONALITY:
Not much is different between Tim's true personality and his alternate one.

On the outside, Tim seems to have a little of everything: family, decent money, great intellect, opportunity. At home, his room is filled with framed awards, trophies, and medals. On the inside, Tim is full of self-doubting perfectionism and future-fearing anxiety. He's always been the best; he has to continue being the best or he'll just end up a giant disappointment to everyone who expects him to already be the best.

Being unaware of his canon background, he's currently fresh and exuberant, willing to try different methods without the high risk of everyone's lives or dignity. As he gains more memories or understands more about the true workings of the city, he'll slowly become more desperate again and more willing to sacrifice others or their jobs/integrity to reach any of his goals.
